Sharon Yvonne Stone (born March 10 1959) was born in Meadville Pennsylvania to Dorothy Lawson an accountant and Joseph William Stone Jr., a tool and Die manufacturer who had previously been employed as a worker in a manufacturing company. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her 3 siblings. Stone began the second grade at five years old. She was considered as being academically gifted. She graduated from Saegertown High School in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. In addition, she competed in and won the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone and her Aunt in 1977, made the move to New Jersey for a modeling job. She was signed by Ford Modeling Agency a week after. In Europe she was able to spend a whole year living in Milano as well as Paris. Stone was disillusioned by the model business in Europe, and chose to pursue acting instead. The film of Woody Allen, "Stardust Memories", received mixed reviews in her 20s.
